“ This used to be the spot when my parents would come in to town while I attended South AL. While inflation has got a hold of everyone's business the rapport was already there. I always get the steamed shrimp plate, absolutely phenomenal. My hubby gets the fried shrimp which is perfectly seasoned. The only downside to Cody's is that their cocktail sauce it's like 50 cents a piece. The service is great and the staff is nice however this is not a place to sit and dine in. Thanks Cody's for the memories!! ”

“ Great little local owned place. Nothing fancy here. My daughter-in-law sent me for shrimp, since I am here visiting from California and one of my favorites when I visit is her shrimp and grits. Upon entry, I noticed all sorts of regional yumminess not available in California. I indulged in a small sized okra - which was a good thing since Cody's is very generous in their servings. The okra arrived a short bit later and was piping hot, nicely breaded with a corn meal type breading - actually perfect. Before leaving, I purchased two pounds of shrimp. I bought the jumbo shrimp. When I arrived home and was cleaning the shrimp, I observed a huge discrepancy in size. Aside from that, not one shrimp could be categorized as "jumbo." With that said, at the price - around $8.00 per lb, the shrimp was fresh and quite tastey. I believe the size may be a seasonal thing, so I was happy to have fresh shrimp at any size. I would recommend Cody's for your shrimp needs while in the Mobile area. Y'all are going to have to find someone else to cook them, I'm hangin' on to my Daughter-in-law, she's a keeper! ”
“ Very small place that looks like a seafood market when you walk in. There are no public bathrooms and it looks like people just go there order their food and take it home. I haven't tried anything here but the crawfish due to the recommendation from a friend. They sell oysters, fish, and crawfish. In Ohio it is hard to find fresh crawfish places so of course I had to take advantage while I am in town. Not only is it in season but everything here is fresh!! The crawfish has a good amount of spice to it and is so juicy! When I was cracking it open the juice just bursts out and was dripping from my hands! Definitely one of the most delicious crawfish I've ever had. Highly recommend this place! The people there are very nice! Service is super fast. They do not accept checks, discover, or American Express. ”
